Michigan In October

I was born and raised in Kentucky and I'm a southern girl to my core but Northern Michigan has become my second home. I was so excited to go to Michigan at this time of year when the fall colors are at their peak and take my 3.5-year-old to epic fall festivities. So I could not believe when searching for things to do every blog came up short I mean I wasn’t even a native and I could think of better things then these blogs so here it is my top fall things to do in Michigan in October.

Jacobs Farm and Corn Maze

Fishtown Leland

I Insist on you watching the movie “The Lighthouse” featuring Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson. Then going to visit Fishtown and Michigan’s many lighthouses. “The Lighthouse” does not take place in Michigan but it is an incredible and eerie film about 2 fishermen that are trapped in a lighthouse loosely based on a true store. I think watching it and then visiting this adorable fishing village and the lighthouse gives you a new appreciation for the lighthouses and villages along with that creepy October vibe we all crave this time of year.

There is not a light house at Fishtown but some of my favorite lighthouse are the one in Frankfort beach,  Mission Point Lighthouse, Ludington State Park. see more lighthouse info here!
